The Director General of WAI, Prof. Djénéba Traoré, was the Second Reader of the thesis.

Ms. Gonçalves' research focuses on the political areas of energy, blue economy and tourism and is part of the GAMMA Program of the Institute of Ecology (INECOL) of Xalapa, Mexico.

The main objective of the study was to determine whether there is coherence between the three policy areas mentioned above and to what extent this coherence is sustainable in the long term. The investigations took into account the Strategic Plan for Sustainable Development (PEDS) developed by the Government of Cabo Verde for the period 2017-2021, which is aligned with the United Nations 2030 Program.

The results of this research aim to provide relevant information to the different actors involved in the development of Cabo Verde.
